Dr. Ju graduated from San Mateo High School and Stanford University. He was the first in his family to attend college. He graduated with a degree in Human Biology and taught science and math for a year before attending medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Ju completed three years of Internal Medicine residency at the V.A. Hospital in Martinez, a University of California affiliate. He then went on to complete a second residency in Dermatology at the Stanford School of Medicine.
Dr. Ju has been in private practice since 1985 and works at his two offices in San Mateo and San Leandro. He is on the clinical teaching faculty at Stanford and hosts Stanford medical students monthly to provide them with experience in a private physician’s office. In addition, Dr. Ju teaches Stanford Dermatology residents and medical students at the V.A. Hospital in Palo Alto, one of the main teaching centers for Stanford Medical School. Last year, he received a prestigious commendation certificate for providing 25 years of teaching to Stanford residents and medical students.
Dr. Ju is married and has three children. He is proud of a scholarship he started at San Mateo High School, the SMHS Class of 1969 Scholarship Fund, to provide finacial assistance a deserving college-bound graduating senior who has given back to the school and community. Dr. Ju’s hobbies and interests include fishing, photography, nature hikes, and cooking.
